Registration

- Each academic unit can send a maximum of TWO regular teams and a maximum of FOUR regular and observing teams in total.
- We follow the eligibility requirements of ICPC 2023/2024.

Registration fee per team:
- Regular team: HK $1500
- Observer team: HK $1000
- For universities with a sponsorship of at least HKD$500, their logos will appear on the event’s banner.

- Deposit total payment due to Hang Seng Bank account 259-038677-002. The account is for “The Hong Kong Chapter of ACM”. Email softcopy of deposit receipt to manlung.yiu@polyu.edu.hk. Use the email subject: “ACM-HK Contest Registration”. Queries about payments can be directed to Dr. Ken Yiu by email manlung.yiu@polyu.edu.hk.
Contest environment
- Ubuntu 22.04 similar to the official one in ICPC World Finals.
- Languages: C (gcc version 11.4.0), C++ (g++ version 11.4.0), JAVA (openjdk version 17.0.10), Python 3 (version 3.10.12)
- Desktop in the lab: Windows with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
- IDE in Windows: VSCode, IntelliJ, PyCharm
- IDE in WSL: Eclipse
- DOMjudge for submission
Regulations
- You are not allowed to use your electronic devices during the contest. Please turn off them before the contest.
- Contestants may talk with their teammates but not allowed to talk with other teams.
- A team may be disqualified by the organizer for any activity that jeopardizes the contest or distract/disturb other teams.
- Each team will use a single PC.
- Each team is allowed to bring 50 pages of printed materials to the contest.
- A contestant may submit a claim of ambiguity/error in a problem statement by submitting a clarification request. If the judges agree that an ambiguity/error exists, a clarification will be issued to all contestants.
